Fire Awareness Programme Contents
Everything that an employee will need to know in order to not only protect themselves and their colleagues from a fire should one start in the workplace, it will also teach the ways that employees can be made aware of fire risk and implement fire prevention measures.
Fire Warden Programme
Selected members of your staff should be delegated as Fire Wardens to ensure that you have sufficient trained staff who will lead in a fire situation should your buildings require a full or partial evacuation dependent of your fire plan.
Fire Wardens will receive input on- Legislation, Effects of Smoke, The Fire Warden’s Role and responsibilities, Importance of roll call and Information requirements of the Emergency Services. Arson Prevention.
Responsible Person Programme
Anyone who has control of premises or anyone who has a degree of control over certain areas or systems is responsible in law as a designated ‘responsible person’ or a dutyholder.
Although in many premises the responsible person will be obvious, there may be times when a number of people have some responsibility.
The ‘Responsible Person’ programme provides the understanding required in how to manage fire safety within their organisation/premises to meet the requirements within the RRFSO 2005 and acquire the knowledge required to manage those Fire Safety responsibilities correctly and effectively.
